CARE
Hawkview Ranch horse boarding includes complete care.

Community pastures
Accommodations include large community dry-lots for mare or gelding bands (maximum of 8 per herd) with a run-in shed available for shelter from sun and weather.  Next to that area is a large grazing pasture. Grazing time is controlled depending on the time of year and grass conditions.

Introducing new horses
New horses are introduced gradually to ensure a smooth transition. Owner/manager Karen Bish personally oversees a new horse joining a herd and stays in contact with the owner, making sure their horse is fitting in, getting enough to eat, etc.

Stalls with runs
Stalls are available for full time or vacation/overnight stays. Turn out 5 days per week is included. Your horse can be turned out either in the large outdoor arena for exercise or into one of the pastures for some grazing. Stalls are cleaned 6 days per week. However, many owners prefer their horse have the more natural environment of herd living.

Feedings
Horses are fed high quality, locally grown grass hay twice daily. For an extra fee, owner provided supplements will be fed as required.

Exercise
Pasture horses roam and play among themselves, which provides some movement — one of the big advantages to that living situation. Beyond that, exercise remains the owner's responsibility. Great trail riding is available on and adjacent to the property. The arena and round pen are always available. A horse that gets enough exercise is a happy horse!
